Dynamics 365 Business Central: How to get current platform version number via AL (Using codeunit 9015 “Application System Constants”)
I was asked a question recently, is there any easy way to get the current BC platform version number via AL?
This is an interesting question, we have previously discussed using ModuleInfo Data Type and NavApp.GetCurrentModuleInfo Method to get information about the extension that is currently running. But not BC itself.
Great event that you certainly don’t want to miss!!!
The Dutch 365 Saturday team have managed to make a great line up for the event in #Amsterdam on May 18! This year not only #CustomerEngagement but also #BusinessCentral, #FinanceAndOperations and the #PowerPlatform

New Platform Updates
Recently, Microsoft has released the new Cumulative Updates for NAV 2015, NAV 2013 and NAV 2013 R2. Time for me to get to work again, and update my mists on the Platform Updates.
You can find them separately on my blog now, when you navigate to “Dynamics NAV” –> “Platform Updates” –> and refer to the ones you’d like to get:
Platform updates overview – NAV 2015
Here you go – once again an updated list on the platform updates of NAV 2015. Enjoy!
Platform updates overview – NAV 2013 (R2)
Here you go – once again an updated list on the platform updates of NAV 2013 (R2). The list for 2015 will follow shortly.
By the way .. I’m not going to continue to emphasize the “newly added issues” in the list (my making them yellow and italic), as this has too limited added value..
Platform updates overview – 3.70.B – NAV2013
Other then that, may be it’s a little bit too soon .. but as Microsoft released the NAV 2013 Launch page, I added the new table for listing the updates as well:-) (although the release seems pretty good .. so may be no platform updates for NAV7..). What can you find on the Launch page?
