Dynamics 365 Business Central: How to add a Factbox for lines/SubPage (Provider Property)

A FactBox is the area that is located on the right-most side of a page and it is divided into one or more parts that are arranged vertically. This area is used to display content including other pages, charts, and system parts such as Notes, and Links. Typically, you can use a FactBox to display information that is related to an item on the main content page.

How to update the selected line in the Subform on click of an action button in the Mainform in NAV

Introduction:
◾The requirement was such that , the user will select a line in the subform.
◾The subform has fields like the Customer ID, Customer Name, and a field Recieved Crates.
◾On click of the action button in the Main form, a page opens which contains the details of the selected line in the subform like Customer ID and Customer Name also a field Crate recieved(Integer Datatype).

New Application Design Patterns: Totals and Discounts on Subpages

To increase discoverability and productivity, critical information, such as statistics, can be moved from separate pages onto the document where it is needed. For example, documents should clearly display totals and discounts information to provide quick overview, make it easy to relate the amounts to the document currency, and to allow the user to see and apply discounts directly on the document.

Update Parent Page From Subpage

I guest we all have had a situation where we needed to update the parent page from a SubPage. Without some funky workaround, this was simply not possible. Well, good news in NAV2015…

Since NAV 2015 we have a cool new feature called UpdatePropagation. On a parent page, we set the property UpdatePropagation on a part. Default is SubPart. Which means the part will not update the parent. When we change this to Both the SubPage will be able to trigger an update on the parent, without letting the user press F5 or the refresh button.
