Those who are familiar with prior versions of NAV might remember Job Scheduler from previous versions. Job Queue was introduced in NAV 5.0 with similar functionality to Job Scheduler, but with a changed setup and architecture.
Sending documents to MS Word had always been a challenge in NAV, until the new “export to Excel” and “export to Word” functionality was introduced in NAV version 5 and carried over to version 2009. Automatic “Send to Excel” and “Send to Word” capability uses stylesheets to format the output from almost any page in Dynamics NAV.
This post is a follow up to some of my previous posts about the Send to Word/Excel features of Dynamics NAV. As you know, it uses a stylesheet (xslt file), that is being read into memory and the codeunit 403 inserts values into the document.
As we know, Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0 includes a new feature which allows you to export data from Dynamics NAV to other applications.
A number of stylesheets are provided with the product for use when exporting to Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
